It's being beat by games that have been out for far longer.
Anthem

This week, Microsoft updated their most played games section on their store. These are the most played games in the Xbox ecosystem from 1 to 49. Why 49 and not 50? How am I supposed to know? The important part here is that Anthem has now fallen off of this most played list.

The last handful of games on the list include Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Borderlands 2, Brawlhalla, and Battlefield 1. That's Battlefield 1, not the more recent Battlefield 5 which is actually looking to be the 23rd most played game on the Xbox. Fallout 76, by comparison, is sitting comfortably in the 26th most played position.

According to a little research conducted by _Robbie on Reddit, we can possibly assume that Anthem has fewer than maybe 7,200 concurrent players on the Xbox. This was assumed by going to BF1stats.com and seeing the player count for the game.

However, there are a lot of unknowns here. We do not know how Microsoft determines this top 49 list. If it's based merely on the peak concurrent player count, it might be safe to assume that Anthem has fewer than Battlefield 1's 7,200 players at any given time. Microsoft could also determine their list by looking at the number of minutes played in total throughout the day, week, or some other arbitrary amount of time. There is just no way to say for sure.

Really, the only thing we do know is that Anthem is being played less than Battlefield 1 and is no longer one of the top 49 games played on Xbox. BioWare has been incredibly quiet on for nearly a month now with their last updates coming around April 23rd.
