EA Considering Free-to-Play Option for Battlefield 2042

EA is apparently disappointed with how poor Battlefield 2042 is performing.

According to leaker Tom Henderson, EA is pretty disappointed with how Battlefield 2042 is performing. Henderson says that the publisher is now "looking at all the options" when it comes to the game. This includes the possibility that the game will go the route of a free-to-play title, at least in some capacity.

Henderson failed to elaborate on these remarks and says he'll have "more...

You know, except if there are some major issues that still need to be addressed after this update is released.

Speaking of release, the update actually came out on June 4. Why wait until now for the trailer to be released?...

  • DICE Cancels All Future Battlefield V Chapters

DICE Cancels All Future Battlefield V Chapters

No Normandy. No Eastern Front. It's all done.

For the developers at DICE, the war is over. The team has made the decision to ditch their "Chapter" idea, which effectively brings an end to their idea that "every chapter brings a new battlefield." Originally, DICE had a grand idea to take players through a significant chunk of WWII. Their idea was to spread out the war over a series of chapters. Each chapter would take us to a new period of time and location in the...

Private Matches for Battlefield V Finally Arrive Next Week

But they won't be called Private Matches.

DICE announced that their planned Private Matches feature is finally coming to Battlefield V. It will arrive on all platforms on December 9, but they won't be called Private Matches. Instead, DICE is calling them Community Games.

I can only imagine that the Battlefield V community is having some very mixed feelings right about now. There are probably wars being waged right now on Battlefield forums and subreddits between those...

  • DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V

DICE Nerfed the TTK Yet Again in Battlefield V

Almost one year later and DICE is repeating the same exact mistakes.

Back on December 12, 2018, DICE decided to adjust the TTK (Time To Kill) for weapons in Battlefield V. A lot of the changes made weapons a fair bit less effective at actually taking out enemies. DICE said that they found that their "wider player base was dying too fast." That is to say, the shorter TTK wasn't too friendly for new players. To say that the core Battlefield community hated the changes is probably...
