It's a pretty big release day for a lot of games.

Let's just get this all out of the way now, because otherwise there would be a separate news post for all of this and I'm not about that life today. Apparently, February 28th is the day that publishers and developers were like, "Yeah, that date is a great time to get a new season/game/update out to everyone!"

We've got some Destiny 2: Lightfall, there's new Battlefield 2042 content, there's Catan, Fallout 76 got a big new...

Except sales, giveaways, special quests, and even a free copy of Fallout 76.

There will be some Quake Pro League action, a lot of developer presentations, and plenty of Bethesda-related games shown off during the event. Before you get your hopes up too high, it seems like there won't be any Starfield presentations at QuakeCon this year.

Maybe we'll finally get a new Quake game announced that has been rumored to be...

Fallout 76 Returns to Pittsburgh in Next Major Content Update

I can personally vouch that the depiction of Pittsburgh in this game is exactly like the real city.

The Pitt was one of the expansions released for Fallout 3 back in 2009. It took players to the ruins of a little city called Pittsburgh located in the state of Pennsylvania. The developers at Bethesda must enjoy Pittsburgh a whole heck of a lot because we're going back there in Fallout 76.

This September, Fallout 76 will let players venture beyond the borders of Appalachia...

Bethesda to Retire Launcher and Move Everyone to Steam

That is at least one less launcher you'll have to install now.

Bethesda announced some sad news today for those that like to install a bunch of different game launchers on their computers. They will be retiring the Bethesda.net Launcher later this year.

I know, I know. I was gutted by this news as well.

Starting in April, Bethesda will have a system in place that will allow players to migrate their games, wallets, and in some cases, even their save games from...

Fallout 76 2022 Roadmap Includes Aliens, Robots, and a Trip to Pittsburgh

    You all like CONTENT?

Bethesda Game Studios just shared the 2022 roadmap for what fans can expect in Fallout 76. We've got content revealed for every season in the year, including that damned Summer season what with its hot weather and mowing of lawns.

The seasonal content throughout 2022 may seem a little familiar to those that have played previous Fallout titles. There's a season focusing on aliens and a season focusing on a little place called The Pitt. Both of these...

Fallout 76 Ditching Battle Royale Mode

A lack of players is cited as the reason.

Bethesda announced that they will be removing the Nuclear Winter battle royale game mode from Fallout 76. This mode will be pulled from the ongoing online game at some point this September. This comes from the company's latest Inside the Vault blog posting.

As with most of these decisions, the move to shut down this game mode came down to the fact that it was losing players over time. Players simply preferred to partake...
