Pre-orders have now opened for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One version of Dark Souls: Remastered. Along with the pre-orders opening up, a new trailer was also released.

Those of you who already own Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition on the PC will get a 50% off discount if you opt to purchase the Remastered version on Steam. Plus, on May 8 at 4PM (PT), Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition will be delisted and replaced with Dark Souls: Remastered on Steam. Though this replacement won't come until the Remastered version's release on May 25. So it sounds like there will be a couple of weeks there where you won't be able to purchase Dark Souls via Steam? That seems odd.

If you already own the Prepare to Die Edition, you will still be able to download and play the game via Steam at any time.

Dark Souls: Remastered will be available for $39.99 (USD) on May 25 for the PS4, XB1, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version and Solaire amiibo will be released this Summer.

Oh hey look, a new trailer!
