Code Vein Release Date Set for September, New Screenshots and Trailer

To be more exact: It is out on September 27, 2019.

Bandai Namco announced that their anime looking Dark Souls-like game, Code Vein, will be released on September 27, 2019. This release date came alongside a new trailer for the action packed title that debuted at E3 2019.

As it stands, Code Vein is in development for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Though it doesn't yet have a Steam page, it sounds as though Code Vein will be released on Steam. These reassuring words came from Rashed Nambro, a community manager at Bandai Namco. Keep in mind, however, that this was...

Elden Ring Announced by FromSoftware and George R.R. Martin

    Game of Souls.

Hidetaka Miyazaki, the director for some of FromSoftware's most notable releases and best-selling fantasy writer, George R.R. Martin, are teaming up for a brand new action-RPG title from FromSoftware. Martin may be better known as the author behind the fantasy series, A Song of Ice and Fire, which served as the basis for most of the entire Game of Thrones TV series. Miyazaki is best known for creating the various Souls titles, Bloodborne, and the recently released Sekiro.

Their joint venture is called Elden Ring, an "epic fantasy title" that...

Code Vein Closed Network Test Coming Later in May

Register now for the closed network test.

Later this month, Bandai Namco will host a closed network test for Code Vein. This test will be conducted on both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. It seems as though they're not too worried about the PC version because no test has been announced for that particular platform.

This test will give you the chance to make your own character and play through the opening segment of Code Vein. Players will also get a chance to experience an online co-op dungeon. Those looking to have a chance at this closed beta should register online....

Ashen Released on Epic Games Store and Xbox

Try to stick with me on this one. Ashen was released on December 7, 2018 for the Xbox One and PC via the Epic Games Store. It is a console timed exclusive, which means it "should" hit other consoles like the PlayStation 4 at some point in the future. It "may" also be a timed exclusive for the Epic Games Store, which means it will come to other digital retailers on the PC at some point.

Why are we not sure? Because every publisher and developer are being cheeky as hell when it comes to this whole "exclusive" thing with the newly launched Epic Games Store. See, Epic tossed around a lot of money to get "exclusive" releases on their platform. Ashen is one of those games despite it being promoted on Steam, with its own Steam Store page,...

Dark Souls: Remastered Out Today on the Nintendo Switch

It's now time for Nintendo Switch owners to die, die, and die some more. I, of course, am talking about dying in today's release of Dark Souls: Remastered for the Switch.
DARK SOULS: Remastered includes updated visuals and inclusion of the Artorias of the Abyss expansion bundled with the main game. Explore the twisted land of Lordran where tormented souls are lurking around every corner ready to put an end to a hard-fought journey. The unique portable nature of the Nintendo Switch means that players can level up their characters away from home in handheld mode and land the finishing blow of a boss fight on the couch in TV mode. Dark Souls: Remastered Switch Network Test Dated for Late September

Bandai Namco sent out the official word today that the network test for Dark Souls: Remastered on the Nintendo Switch will begin on September 21. This test runs from Friday, September 21 through Sunday, September 23. It will run from 5PM to 9PM (PT) each day. It's available to download right now through the Nintendo eShop. This Network Test will allow players to run around in the Undead Parish area in both single player and multiplayer. The full game will be released on October 19, 2018. I feel like I had to specify the "2018" part there because of how delayed this release has been. Do take note that Dark Souls: Remastered is...

Dark Souls: Remastered Dated for October 19 Release Date on Switch

Despite Dark Souls: Remastered being out now for almost three months on the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the Switch version has yet to really be seen. Fortunately, and perhaps finally, Bandai Namco announced that Switch owners will finally get to play the game starting on October 19, 2018.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Revealed by FromSoftware

The mysterious new IP teased by FromSoftware last year, Shadows Die Twice, now has a full name and a full trailer reveal courtesy of Microsoft's E3 2018 conference earlier this week. The game is called Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and we'll say this right now: It's not Dark Souls and it's not Bloodborne. It's still an action-RPG though.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is slated to be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. Since Microsoft provided the world premiere look at the game, we should see what they have to say about it.
Sekiro wears its influences on its sleeve. At times it looks and plays like the legendary Tenchu: Stealth Assassins, letting players

    Review: Vampyr (PC)

    Interview with a vampire.
Please do not adjust your monitors or television sets. I did not misspell "Vampire" for the title. The game is actually entitled Vampyr and it is a legitimate spelling of the name given to the undead blood suckers we have all come to know and sometimes even love. Vampyr, the game, is a new entry in the sometimes too saturated action-RPG genre. And while it does indeed share a lot of similarities with other games in the genre like Bloodborne, , and even The Witcher, Vampyr manages to be a stand out experience. To say that Vampyr is a flawed masterpiece would not be a lie. In a lot of ways, Vampyr really pushes the action RPG genre forward while still having a few cumbersome issues that hold it back from true greatness. On the action side, we have a combat system that immediately made me think of Bloodborne, featuring f...
