Earlier today, Ubisoft unceremoniously announced two new titles and gave a little teaser for their next Assassin's Creed game. The two new titles are Far Cry 5 and The Crew 2.This is how Far Cry 5 was announced. Wow, amazing. Equally amazing is how The Crew 2 was announced.

At least the teaser for the next Assassin's Creed had some animation to it. So, that's something I suppose.
Just for funsies, Ubisoft also revealed some new data for how their games performed in the past year.
- Ghost Recon Wildlands is the best selling game in 2017 (so far).
- For Honor is the second best selling game of 2017 (so far).
- Digital sales account for around 40% of total sales for both Ghost Recon and For Honor.
- 73% of Ghost Recon players played in co-op.
- "Recurring investment" sales are above expectations for Ubisoft (season passes, DLC, microtransactions, etc.).
- The first two months of For Honor were better than Rainbow Six Siege's first two months.
- Ubisoft was the top publisher in the world since the start of 2017.

If this is the extent of their announcements for these games that's either A. Recognizing that flashy expensive pre-rendered trailer announcements are probably not worth the cost or B. A publisher in trouble without the budget to spend on flashy announcements.
The Crew 2 is very interesting, the first game had lots of potential it just didn't live up to it, it just needs interesting objectives/races, a slightly more in-depth customization model, better physics and a new world to explore.
Far Cry 5 is... another one of those games, the formulae needs spicing up again so we'll see what they come up with, people were rumoring about it going to the wild west but we'll see, that logo doesn't suggest it.
Then there's Assassin's Creed, i've played and enjoyed all the games to varying degrees, Syndicate was stellar and it's mind boggling how much art is created for these games, it will be interesting to see what the extra year of development did for the next one.
