The downloadable content for Crimson Desert is expected to be released later this year, specifically in the fourth quarter. In other words, you can expect the planned content to drop anywhere between October 1 and December 31. An exact release date isn't provided by Pearl Abyss, but the studio did confirm that vague release window.
This confirmation comes as Pearl Abyss reflects on the major additions it has recently made to Crimson Desert. The game, released on March 19, 2026, has already received numerous updates that have transformed and improved nearly every aspect of the game. The studio compiled an infographic showcasing how the game has evolved across 17 major updates.
The studio has announced plans to have a big blowout reveal for the first downloadable content in Q3 2026. Additionally, they are developing a port for the Switch 2, with a targeted release timeframe in the first half of 2027.
Back in April, just a month after its release, Crimson Desert managed to reach the 5 million units sold milestone.
