The NPD sales figures for the month of July 2015 are now in. It looks as though the PlayStation 4 is once again the hardware leader. On the software side of things, LEGO: Jurassic Park beat out every other game to claim the top spot. Let's dig into the top 10 software sales.

  2. Batman: Arkham Knight (PS4, Xbox One, PC)
  3. Minecraft (360, PS3 ,Xbox One, PS4)
  4. Grand Theft Auto V (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)
  5. Rory Mcilroy PGA Tour (PS4, Xbox One)

  10. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (PS4, Xbox One, 360, PS3, PC)

Interestingly, Batman: Arkham Knight would have been the top seller for the month if you included sales from bundle deals. First month sales of Rory McIlroy PGA Tour surpassed the previous PGA release by nearly 70%. Splatoon has now sold more than 500,000 units.

As mentioned, the PlayStation 4 led the hardware sales for July. Xbox One also had a great month with sales that were up 44% compared to July 2014. Combined, the PS4 and XB1 sales are about 50% higher than the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 sales were in their first 21 months on the market.
