EA and Respawn Entertainment, through a new "feature update" video, have revealed that Titanfall has been played by over 7 million unique players.
That means at least 7 million copies of the game have been sold to end consumers, not just shipped. I'm sure we'll see a sequel to the game in the coming years. Hopefully the sequel has a longer life than the first game did. It would have been nice to keep playing that game for more than a couple of months after its release.

Questions about the "true" future of the Titanfall franchise were raised beginning this past weekend when we first caught wind of Apex Legends, the latest game from Respawn Entertainment and the latest title to be set in the Titanfall universe. One of the biggest questions was whether or not Apex Legends, a newly released and free-to-play battle royale title, was a phoenix rising from the ashes of Titanfall 3 or if Titanfall 3 was still coming.

It's been a real rollercoaster of a 24 hours for Titanfall fans. First we saw the release of Apex Legends from Respawn Entertainment. This is a new free-to-play battle royale game that is actually pretty damn good. A bit later in the day, it was revealed that Respawn is not working on TItanfall 3.
Oof, right? A real punch to the gut for fans of Titanfall 2. But, what's this? Is there hope? There just might be!
