I'm also disgusted with DICE's communication, which in turn stains EA's as well. Using their Twitter solely for promotion, and using the Battlelog forums for a one-way communication really makes it hard to see how aware DICE is in terms of how upset their customers are. And then talking about things like Codewars and Battlefront 3 gives the impression that things are peachy with their current work, rather than focusing on informing customers on what they really want to know, and why this happened, and what steps were taken to prevent this from ever happening again. Any foundational changes? Any decisions that will keep them competitive against Activision, while still releasing completed games? Or is it going to be another rush to the deadline to meet the release window, while executives sell their company shares in a pump and dump scheme knowing about the state of the upcoming game?

In which case, what lessons did they learn from this? That they are blaming the customers for not tolerating this? That we complained too God damned much? That they are stopping work on profitable projects and DLC BECAUSE we whined? That we don't need to know what happened and why the game is so broken? That they will train us to get used to this as every Battlefield is broken? That products can be sold broken and fixed post-launch window after sales were made? That service replaces product quality? Well then, I'm going to count on Zips to tell me if I should bother with Battlefront 3 and Mirror's Edge, because I know he doesn't release reviews too early and end up changing the score with a weasel disclosure statement. And I f***ing regret signing up to Origin. Service is fine and in some cases better than Steam, but like consoles, the games is what makes it relevant. And as time goes by, I am increasingly having an easier time distancing myself from EA products, because DICE's products used to keep me coming back at the time, but not anymore (Criterion Games and Westwood Studios too, until they became a shell of their former selves). Late as I am, smartening up late is better than never. Ben Kuchera was right, this ISN'T OK. So why should I be excited for Battlefront 3?
