Contrary to popular belief, physical media is not dead.

THQ Nordic and Gearbox Publishing announced today that they are going to have a physical release for Remnant 2. For those that still prefer physical media discs, Remnant 2 will be headed to retail stores all around the world when it releases later in 2023.

Remnant 2 is the sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes and is currently in development at Gunfire Games. This is the same studio that brought you the first Remnant game along with titles such as Darksiders 3 and Chronos: Before the Ashes.

This sequel builds upon what fans loved about the original game. There will be new weapons, gear, bosses, and biomes never seen in the original title. There will again be branching questlines and an expanded Archetype system. Remnant 2, like its predecessor, will blend together ranged combat options with melee combat as you face off against everything from lowly peon enemies up to giant bosses.

Just like the first game, you can again play through all of Remnant 2 alone or with up to two additional friends for co-op. Remnant 2 is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC later this year for $49.99 (USD).
