Journey into the Swamps of Corsus.

Gunfire Games and Perfect World Entertainment announced some new DLC coming very soon to Remnant: From the Ashes. The Swamps of Corsus will task players with trying to survive a hostile new environment. This content will not be free, but will run you maybe $10 (USD)? The announcement says that it'll retail for £7.19, which converts to a bit over $9 in freedom money.

Swamps of Corsus will be released on April 28 for the PC and can be currently added to your Steam Wishlist if you want. It will arrive "at a later date" for the console versions on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. There will be a special bundle that contains the base game of Remnant: from the Ashes with this Swamps of Corsus DLC for about £34.99, or roughly $45 (USD; assuming a direct conversion).

This release will include the world of Corsus and a "swamp of new content" (their words, not mine). This new content includes three new weapons and mods, four new side dungeons, new bosses, new enemies, and more. One of the bigger inclusions with this DLC is the addition of a new "rogue-like game mode called 'Survival Mode.'."

Remnant: From the Ashes ended up becoming a real surprise treat that came out in August 2019. It joined a handful of other titles that made the short list of my favorite games from 2019, that's how much I enjoyed it. For those unaware, Remnant: From the Ashes is a third-person action-RPG. You will go through some slightly randomized worlds, with multiple playthroughs having a high chance of offering different locations, routes, loot, and bosses each time. There are giant and difficult monsters to face off against in addition to the already challenging enemies. You utilize melee weapons along with various guns. You can even go through the entire game on your own or with a co-op partner. To those wondering: Yes, you can say that this is a lot like Dark Souls but with guns.
