You ever have think, "Hey, it's 1AM, let's do something stupid!" Because let me tell you, I sure as hell had that thought last night. Let's just say mistakes, actually several of them, were made. One such mistake was the fact that I neglected to perform a full site backup before I proceeded to do several more stupid things. This led to just being unable to do anything with the server.

My plan was to restore a backup from earlier in the week. I decided, after I broke everything, to make a backup at that point just in case restoring the backup failed or someone smarter than me (Tim) would possibly be able to fix my mistakes. I started the backup process and decided to go to bed around 4AM or so. The backup usually takes a couple of hours.

Woke up to see that even the backup failed because of something I did. Oops!

Without anything to lose, I started the process of restoring the backup, having never personally done this before. This process also takes a few hours. It eventually finished. Site was still broken. I quickly found out what I had to do, which ended up being something else I never did before, and a few moments later the site was back.

After all of that, I figured it'd be a good time to update vBulletin to the new release. I did that. Everything works. I don't want to hear anything to the contrary.

With all this said, it's time for the NewsBits. These NewsBits are going to be a super quick recap of all the news I put up this week that is now lost to the ether. They will go up in reverse order. That means the news I put up last night before my colossal fuckup will be listed first in the bits seen below.

Cheat Maker Discontinues Battlefield 2042 Support Due to Poor Game Performance
If nothing else, DICE managed to create the best anti-cheat in the world: Battlefield 2042 itself. Battlefield 2042's performance is so damn bad that it's preventing a cheat from functioning properly. The cheat maker also says that the game is so dead that not enough people are renewing their cheat subscriptions to make it worth their time and effort.
