Techland is bringing back the Wild West action-FPS, Call of Juarez! Er, well sort of.

The studio is celebrating the 10 year anniversary of Call of Juarez: Gunslinger with some Call of Juarez related items in Dying Light 2. A special "Undead or Alive" event will run from May 31 through to June 7. During this event, you will be able to earn some Western themed items and encounter some enemies...

And on the eve of Dead Island 2's release no less.

In a curious case of timing, the folks over at Techland just released a big update for Dying Light 2: Stay Human that makes "major" improvements to both the combat and physics of the game. This update, dubbed the "Gut Feeling" update, includes improvements to the game's visuals and effects to make the combat "more physically rewarding and goresome."

Consoles will get mod support later.

Techland just released some new mod tools for those interested in modifying Dying Light 2. These tools will help creators make custom maps and other content. Right now, the Dying Light 2 mod tools are available as free DLC on PC via either Steam or the Epic Games Store. Those of you playing on consoles will have to wait a bit, but Techland does plan on offering mod support to you later.

Dying Light 2 fans received a double treat today during the Opening Night Live show at Gamescom. First off was a new trailer reveal for Bloody Ties, the first story DLC for Dying Light 2. Players will converge on The Carnage Hall come October 13.

Techland just released a new teaser trailer for the first story DLC coming to Dying Light 2 Stay Human. The new DLC is entitled Bloody Ties and while today's teaser really does not show much at all, there will be more revealed on August 23 during Gamescom Opening Night Live.

This new chapter will be free to everyone.

The second seasonal chapter for Dying Light 2 Stay Human will be out in "a couple weeks." This new chapter, entitled "A Huntress and a Hag," will be free to everyone that owns the base game and will ship alongside the 1.5 update for the game.

In "A Huntress and a Hag" players will be introduced to Shen Xiu, a "mysterious Chapter Agent and expert tracker who has a very special task for the Nightrunners."...

The game was first revealed back in 2016.

Six years after its announcement, Techland is finally ready to really get to work on a new open-world action-RPG fantasy game that they first teased roughly six years ago. The game, which does not yet have a name, will apparently be their next major title following the successful launch of Dying Light 2.

The season of delays is upon us again.

Techland tweeted out some unfortunate news earlier today. The first planned story DLC for Dying Light 2 Stay Human has been delayed. The new story content is now expected to be released in September.

Techland says that they simply need more time to develop the new content. That is pretty much the entirety of this.

To keep fans occupied until September, there will be some smaller bits released in the months preceding it....

These new additions are coming this week.

Techland says that they will debut New Game Plus alongside a console FOV slider for Dying Light 2 this week. These updates and more will be a part of the April 27 Update 1.3.0 release for the game. Those that are playing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will get the FOV slider option included.

Those looking to go through the game's main story again will soon be able to do so thanks to New Game +. Enemies will scale to Aiden's...

Techland just released the 1.2 patch for Dying Light 2 today on the PC. A console release of this update should be coming very soon, say in about the next couple of days.

Today's update is said to address issues that were reported by players. It also includes a number of technical and gameplay improvements such as better ragdoll mechanics, tweaks to melee combat, and more. There is now also a "high-performance"...

It's the first free skin pack.

Those of you who own Dying Light 2 can now download the "Authority" skin pack. This is the first of the game's DLC with another pack, "Ronin," coming along shortly.

Today's Authority pack release offers up gear that covers the chest, legs, and feet. The second part of this release comes on February 16 and adds in gauntlets, a windbreaker, and arm guards. Finally, on February 18, you will get the two-handed Authority hammer....

Maybe don't start playing until it's released.

As I noted in my Dying Light 2 Stay Human review, the game had some bugs and a bunch of jankiness. Thankfully, Techland is still hard at work on addressing a number of these issues before the game is publicly available on Friday.

Techland is saying that there will be a day 1 update released for the game that includes over 1,000 fixes. This update is apparently on top of the 1,000 or so fixes that have been made since the game...
