The May 14 release date for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is rapidly approaching. For a release that encompasses three games, it would probably be a good thing to have a pre-load phase available, right? Right. That's why the pre-load for Mass Effect: Legendary Edition is now live across all platforms.

This includes the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. Don't forget that PC players will get some nice framerate benefits to boast about. There is one small catch when it comes to the pre-loads, however, and is specific to the Xbox pre-load. According to the official Mass Effect Twitter account, the Smart Delivery system on Xbox is a smaller download. It seems as though this release is only downloading the first of three games when downloading on the Xbox Series X|S. BioWare says that Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3 can be downloaded at release.

Without two games to work on, BioWare was left with an excess of talent.

Electronic Arts says that they are restructuring their Dragon Age and Mass Effect studio, BioWare. As part of this restructuring, EA will move some developers onto other projects within other EA studios, some will move to working with the Mass Effect team on the sequel, and still others will be laid off.

BioWare's general manager Gary McKay wrote a blog post that talks about how they are "taking...

Fewer butt shots aren't the only changes coming.

We don't really know too many of the changes coming in Mass Effect: Legendary Edition. Sure, we know that BioWare is cutting back on the gratuitous butt shots and updating the visuals, but what else? Fortunately, BioWare took to the PlayStation Blog today to detail some more of the changes they have in store for the remastered releases of these three titles.
