The Switch 2 does not exist. It is all a figment of your imagination.
Nintendo announced that they will host a new Direct for June 2024 that will feature roughly 40 minutes of new game reveals. The games, Nintendo says, are ones that are coming in the second half of 2024 to the Nintendo Switch.
The Nintendo Direct will air on Tuesday, June 18 at 7AM (PT).
In the announcement for tomorrow's Direct, Nintendo flat out says that there will not be any mention whatsoever of the Nintendo Switch 2. Well, they specifically say "no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor" which may be called the Switch 2 or something else entirely. I'm personally hoping it's called Greg.
As for what we can expect to actually see at this new Direct is really anybody's guess. Some titles we know about are slated to arrive in 2025, including Pokemon Legends: Z-A and Professor Layton and the New World of Steam. Those two will presumably not be at this Direct if Nintendo really is focusing on games coming out in 2024.
Perhaps we'll finally get a new look at Metroid 4, a game that hasn't been so much as whispered by Nintendo since its reveal in 2017. There is also a rumor that we'll see something about a remake for The House of the Dead 2 and perhaps Call of Duty. All of these are wild assumptions at this point though.

Nintendo announced in the early morning hours on May 8 that the price of the Switch 2 console will go up by at least $50 in the United States, pushing the price from $449.99 to $499.99. Other global regions will see similar price increases. These pricing changes aren't expected to go live until September 1, 2026.

by Shawn ZipayA bold move, to be sure.
There was a time, not too long ago, where the deeper into a console's lifespan we were, the cheaper the hardware itself became. The exception to that seems to be the latest console generation, where basically every company increased prices as the generation went on.
Nintendo pulled an interesting move this week by announcing a price increase for their console hardware. A price increase already for the recently released Switch 2? No, you fool!...-
