Featuring Giancarlo Esposito and a young Vaas?

Oops! It looks like the PlayStation Network let slip some details about Far Cry 6 today! Not only do we see what the cover art looks like, we get a brief mention about the story and some gameplay features included with the game. This all seems to be translated from the Japanese PSN, so some translations may not be 100% accurate.

If you were looking for a link to the PSN listing, I must inform you that it has already been removed as of this news posting. It was live only earlier in the day for a brief period.

GUERRILLA FIREPOWER

It also seems like there will be a free upgrade option for Far Cry 6. This means that those who purchase the game on the PlayStation 4 will get a free upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version once they purchase a PlayStation 5. Neat!

Far Cry 6

Some interesting things to note here that people have picked up on. First off, it seems as though one of the main antagonists of the game is played by Giancarlo Esposito. You may recall him from his work as Gus Fring on Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Accompanying Giancarlo on the cover is a child that some have pointed out may be a young Vaas. Vaas was one of the main antagonists in Far Cry 3. If you forgot about Vaas, perhaps asking if you know the definition of insanity will jog your memory.

People loved Vaas as a villain. And it seems as though the young man on the cover has an identical scar to Vaas on his eyebrow. Is that Vaas? Perhaps. Vaas's voice actor, Michael Mando, did tease that he could be returning in "very soon" during a recent AMA on Reddit. It does look like the pieces are all in place there.

How is Ubisoft taking the leak? They seem to be taking it in stride. They are probably used to having all of their games leaked by now.
