I love this. CD Projekt Red directly talks to their customers in appreciation for supporting their games. It reminds me of the time The Witcher 3's launch had a thank you message without expectations of preorders or any hoops we have to jump through to get the entire game's experience. I love CD Projekt's (both Red and GoG) consumer-friendly practices. And while there has been a few instances where I wonder why GoG did what they did, generally speaking I love this company. I don't even care for The Witcher series nor its genre whatsoever, yet I bought every single game in the franchise, specifically on GoG, intentionally at full price (except The Witcher 3, because I wanted the preorder bonuses, which aren't game-related because that's how consumer-friendly they are).

(Also looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077. I liked 2020 and I hope the video game will make it even cooler. I might actually be buying something from CD Projekt RED that I'll actually play.)
Here's the setup for this news story:
A few days ago, Green Man Gaming started to advertise a new promotion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The deal was 35% off of a Witcher 3 pre-order and made it the cheapest (AFAIK) deal in town for the upcoming CD Projekt RED title.
The problem here is that GMG was never actually given any keys for the Witcher 3, at least not from CD Projekt RED. So either GMG was selling a product they didn't have yet in hopes of striking a deal...
