  • Far Cry 5 Teaser Trailer Takes You to Montana

    When you think of Montana, chances are you probably have no idea what there even is in the state. There's probably some fields of grass, trees, and maybe a mountain or two. Leave it up to Far Cry 5 to make that location seem even slightly interesting.

    The teaser trailer, seen below, doesn't really give us much to go on here. From what I gather, the game will have some fields of grass, trees, maybe a mountain or two, and the ability to ring bells with someone's face. It just begs the question: How are they going to get your character drugged up in this one?

    The actual full announcement trailer is coming on May 26. And to think, people gave me crap for making an announcement of an announcement.

        I'm guessing there will be a cult in here somewhere and that they'll force the large scale explosive action to happen somehow, but part of me hopes that the game is reeaaaal slow, put some deck chairs out for the player to just sit and watch the sunset, make the weapons really civilian and not military spec automatic or explosive monsters, make it Far Cry by way of Resident Evil 7 :P.
        It's probably a bad idea as far as catering to the audience goes, but recently i've been into the idea of these long standing frachises changing their formulas in small but meaningful ways.

        I like this trailer better than the pre-rendered/not pre-rendered but touched up stuff they did for FC4 before its release.

          Maybe the hallucinations won't be from drugs this time. This time, the protagonist sits on a deck chair as cikame describes, and enjoys one too many beers. After the hallucination, you wake up and notice like... 40 bottles on the ground. Or maybe it can be from weed. Really really really bad weed. I can picture the sunset the player was watching magically turning into a screaming baby or something really messed up. Oooh oooh how about the sun turning into a square? That'll show the players! (Yes, I know weed doesn't actually produce FarCry levels of hallucinations, and neither does beer, but... VIDEO GAME LOGIC!)
