In February, DICE announced that the planned February update for Battlefield 2042 would be pushed until March. This was the update that was set to include things like a scoreboard. Well, guess what? Yep, that update has been delayed again.

DICE just announced that they are pushing the update live next week, which is a week later than they previously said. This shouldn't be too surprising to anybody who has followed the recent news about Battlefield 2042. Several of the latest news pieces about this game have been concerning delays.

Word about this most recent delay was shared on the Battlefield forums by DICE's PartWelsh. He also notes that due to this delay, the return of Weekly Missions is also pushed out another week. DICE put a halt to them after last week's mission rewarded players with a new skin for the Russian attack helicopter. Given Russia's invasion of Ukraine, this was probably a smart move.

We had intended to release it later this week, but made the decision to hold it back so that we're best positioned to support in case of any issues that might have cropped up over the weekend.

Our decision to relase the update next week will mean a further suspension of Weekly Missions, and the system will remain inactive this week. Next weeks update will provide new content that will allow us to reenable this feature.

Update 3.3 will introduce a refreshed Scoreboard, incorporating requests from across the Community to update our format to display Deaths alongside Kills, and a team split to help differentiate leaders per team. Thank you for your feedback and suggestions on this, it's deeply appreciated by us all.

Gold Edition, Ultimate Edition, Year 1 Pass Holders, Upgraded edition owners, and EA Play Pro subcribers will also be receiving the Steadfast Exclusive Legendary Bundle as shared last month, when this update goes live.

We'll also have a small range of additional fixes live as part of the game update which will be detailed in our Update Notes next week.

Battlefield 2042 Review: A Battlefield in Ruins

Battlefield 2042 is a shallow, feature-lacking mess of a game that appeals to neither long-time franchise fans nor newcomers.

The release of Battlefield 2042 on November 19th should have been a joyous occasion for fans of the franchise. Instead, what the world received was a broken mess of a game that has long-standing "legacy" features removed, barren maps, and a tone that was often at odds with itself. Even after receiving three major post-launch updates, there is very...
