DICE has done the unthinkable and added a scoreboard to Battlefield.

DICE just detailed the changes and content coming in Update 3.3 for Battlefield 2042. This update, set to drop on March 8, includes the long-awaited scoreboard. Yep, a scoreboard is a highlight of a patch releasing some four months after the game's initial release. What a time to be alive.

Besides the scoreboard, this update also includes more bug fixes, some changes related to control and key bindings, and the addition of the Steadfast Exclusive Legendary Bundle for those with the non-standard versions of the game.

Before we get into the details of this update, I'll pass along word that DICE says their next update is scheduled for an early April release. The studio says that this update will "include a larger set of changes and fixes, as well as the introduction of VOIP functionality for Squads, and the refreshed Scoreboard being available during End of Round."

Wait a second. Does that statement mean that the new scoreboard being added today doesn't actually show up at the end of the round? Four months and the scoreboard is only partially implemented? Incredible. The mind reels. Of course, VOIP for this squad and team-based multiplayer game won't even be implemented in any capacity until April, five months after the game's release.

The planned April update will also include more balance changes for weapons and vehicles. Some of the items targeted for a balance pass in that update include the MC5 Bolte (again), as well as an overhaul of most attachments for infantry weapons.

Without further ado, here is the Battlefield 2042 scoreboard.

Match Overview has been improved and placed on the left of the screen; this still retains information about the match, objective progression and ticket counters as well as personal stats such as Kills, Assists and Deaths, alongside your current in-game ping.

The Scoreboard now features a team vs team split look for certain team-based modes such as Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush and Team Deathmatch, alongside the inclusion of the deaths stat to the Scoreboard.

While these changes were two of your most-requested missing pieces, this is the first version of the Scoreboard, and further improvements will be made to this in subsequent updates, based upon your continued feedback such as the Scoreboard being available during the End of Round screens.
As far as scoreboards go, this certainly is one of them.

Those of you poor souls that purchased the Gold Edition, Ultimate Edition, Year 1 Pass, Year 1 Pass upgrade, Ultimate Pack upgrade, or subscribe to EA Play Pro will get some bonus content as a way of saying sorry "thank you." The new Steadfast Exclusive Legendary Bundle will offer you all some cosmetic items at no additional charge.
