IO Interactive finally confirmed that 007 First Light will run at 60 FPS (Nitter) when playing on PlayStation 5 Pro hardware. This near last minute announcement comes after months of worry from fans that had no idea if Sony's more powerful machine would be able to deliver solid performance.
In September 2025, the gameplay reveal for 007 First Light made players nervous about the game's performance. That gameplay footage looked to run at less than acceptable framerates. Just a few months after that reveal IO Interactive announced that 007 First Light would be delayed for added game polish.
It looks like the team may have succeeded in polishing things up, because even the base PlayStation 5 hardware now targets 60 FPS. That is assuming you opt to use the Performance mode for base PlayStation 5. A higher quality, aptly named Quality Mode, will give you more bells and whistles but will cap the framerate at 30 FPS.
Those with Xbox hardware are still being kept in the dark. It's probably a safe bet to say that performance on the Series X will be on par with the base PlayStation 5.
Last week, IO Interactive shared new PC hardware specifications for 007 First Light. This would be the third iteration of these hardware requirements now shared by the studio. The latest iteration of the PC specifications should give you a better idea of the sort of experience you can expect with the game, now offering "Enthusiast" settings at 1440p and 4K resolutions. It's also nice to see that the PC specifications do not use DLSS for the Minimum, Recommended, and Enthusiast categories.

But I just looked up the requirements now. No way they're saying Minimum is 1080p @ 30 FPS and that's WITH FRAME GEN ENABLED AT FSR BALANCED.
God, that engine is a plague. People can cry up and down about how "it's not the engine! Devs can optimize! Devs don't need to turn on every feature!" but JFC... Every game that comes out with that engine has had ridiculous system requirements on PC and performance issues on all platforms.
