The servers will be up until June 3, 2025.

Ubisoft announced today that they are pulling XDefiant starting today, December 3, 2024. They say that this process will prevent new downloads, player registrations, and purchases from being made. They say that everyone that purchased the Ultimate Founders Pack will be issued a full refund. Anybody that made VC and DLC purchases since November 3, 2024 will also get full refunds.

As part of today's announcement, Ubisoft says that they will keep the servers up and the game will be fully playable until June 3, 2025. At that date it is assumed Ubisoft will pull the servers down and the game will no longer be playable in any capacity.

We understand that this news may come as a disappointment, and we deeply appreciate the time and passion you have invested in our community. Our goal is to provide you with all the information you need in one convenient place, while acknowledging that we may not have all the answers just yet. We are committed to keeping you informed and supported throughout this process. Thank you for your continued support and understanding.
While new downloads of the game will no longer be allowed, Ubisoft says that those who played and uninstalled and redownload the game to play again before that June 3rd cutoff. As XDefiant is purely an online competitive title, there is zero offline mode that can be played after the shutdown of the servers next year.

As far as refunds are concerned, Ubisoft says that refunds will be managed by the storefront where you made your purchases. The refund process can take up to 8 weeks to complete.

XDefiant was a free-to-play competitive first-person shooter. It featured different factions from different Ubisoft franchises and maps loosely based on various settings within those franchises.

Refunds Now Allowed on PlayStation Store Pre-orders but There is a Catch
      by Shawn Zipay

For the longest time, if you wanted a refund from Sony for a purchase made through the PlayStation Store, you were either completely out of luck or were maybe given a one time exception. There were a few other times where Sony cracked open that refund door another inch, such as when games were severely broken to the point of crashing systems, but these were made once in a blue moon. Even then it wasn't a guarantee that you would be issued a refund if you requested one.

The release has been pushed to between September and October.

Ubisoft's upcoming free-to-play FPS, XDefiant, has been delayed by a wee bit. This is due to the fact that the game has been refused certification by both Microsoft and Sony. This moves the release date from the end of August (which has obviously come and go) to anywhere between the middle of September to the middle of October.

The certification process for XDefiant began near the end of July for PlayStation...
