May have been held back to release alongside Season 2 of the TV show.
A new report from reliable leaker billbil-kun says that the PC version of The Last of Us Part 2 is coming. Not only will the sequel be released on PC but development on this port was apparently completely since "at least November 2023."
Their report says that The Last of Us Part 2 was in development for PC since at least 2021. Development on the game allegedly wrapped up in November 2023 but it has yet to receive any sort of release on PC nor any release date announcement.
The reason for the delay may have something to do with The Last of Us HBO series. It seems possible that Sony and the powers that be have decided to hold off the release of the PC port to coincide with the launch of the second season of the HBO series in 2025. It's also possible that Sony has withheld the PC release due to the PlayStation 5 release of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered hitting PS5 in January 2024. We know that Sony likes to release games first on console before releasing them on PC months, or even years, later on.
For now, we know for a fact that Sony will release God of War: Ragnarok on PC. That release will take place on September 19, 2024.

After the year is up, there is no saying where he may end up. With this move, Kodera assumes all operational responsibility for SIE. He now reports directly to Sony Corporation president, Kaz Hirai.
