Plus, our first look at the return of Peter Weller as Alex Murphy.
The first gameplay reveal for the upcoming first-person shooter, RoboCop: Rogue City, was shown off just yesterday. This new video features some gameplay along with our first look at RoboCop himself, Alex Murphy. Murphy will once again be played by the original actor Peter Weller.
The new gameplay footage shows off a very dystopian Detroit. Feel free to make whatever jokes you want about it being modern Detroit as it's pretty easy pickings on that one. This fictional depiction of Detroit is full of gang violence. The combat we see includes a blend of gunplay and melee. You will be able to make use of Murphy's advanced targeting system to take out enemies that are mostly behind cover. Whether or not you can shoot any dicks off is still unclear.
RoboCop: Rogue City is supposed to be out now in June 2023 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game will combine FPS gameplay "with exploration of Detroit and multiple-choice dialogue." Though it's based off of the original 1987 film, this game will tell and all-new story in the same setting. It's being developed by Teyon, which previously made Terminator: Resistance.
