The new boss rush mode begins now.
As the lead up to Destiny 2: The Final Shape continues, Bungie just launched the new Pantheon event. This PvE mode is a boss rush that will only get harder as the weeks go on.
For this first week, Bungie pits teams against four familiar raid bosses. Each week, more boss encounters will take place, with week 4 offering eight consecutive boss fights in a row. The Pantheon will let players earn various rewards, including Adept versions of raid weapons and Exotic Gear. Those who earn Platinum scores in the Pantheon encounters will get the highest tier of prizes and is a requirement to claim the in-game title of "Godslayer."
Naturally, Bungie also wants to sell you some physical stuff for this. There will be a Pantheon Raid Ring that will be available for purchase to those that have completed the necessary challenges during the event. It's a sterling silver ring similar to the "iconic 2020 Raid Ring with a gloriously sculpted skull emblem." This offer will be available to those that complete all counters from any tier of the Pantheon by June 3, 2024.

by Shawn ZipayFromSoftware's largest and most ambitious title is also its best yet.
Every once in a while, there exists a piece of media that really gets the public excited. You see it all the time with new movie releases. You see it often with new music releases. And, of course, you see it with new video game releases. Given how many message board discussions, social media posts, Reddit posts, and the like I have seen for Elden Ring, I think it's safe to say that hype levels for FromSoftware's...-

by Shawn ZipayMarty O'Donnell, the composer that crafted the iconic soundtracks for games like the Halo franchise and parts of Destiny, has won his legal battle against Bungie. Today's ruling by a court-appointed arbitrator says that Bungie must honor its agreements made with O'Donnell that gave him the right to hold a "considerable share of stock in the company." Today's ruling also sheds some light on what O'Donnel, Activision, and Bungie all went through during the development of Destiny. How...

by Shawn ZipayIt's more Elden Ring but with boss encounters turned up to 11.
Just as Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree unceremoniously thrusts you right into the new DLC, so too shall this review thrust you all straight into what I think of the only expansion for my 2022 game of the year. I do not think that Shadow of the Erdtree is a perfect piece of content. It pales in comparison to the base Elden Ring experience, but not by much. The exploration and sense of discovery do carry over from the...-
