We finally know the release date for A Plague Tale: Requiem and that date is none other than October 18, 2022. This is when the sequel to the critically acclaimed A Plague Tale: Innocence will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. A cloud version is coming to the Nintendo Switch as well. For Game Pass subscribers, this will be a Day One release on Xbox and PC.

In the newly released extended gameplay footage, we follow main characters Amicia and Hugo as they make their way through a "massive ochre-red quarry overwhelmed with soldiers eager to capture them." This footage shows off some of the new gameplay mechanics added in this sequel, including new combat options.

There was also a closer look at the Collector's Edition for the game shared today in this short teaser video. Fans also heard a couple of tracks from the game, composed by Olivier Derivière and featuring the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir. You can digitally purchase those two tracks directly from the composer.

Those who opt to play A Plague Tale: Requiem on PC will have some special features to look forward to. The PC version will include Nvidia RTX features such as ray tracing and DLSS support.
