Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XVI (16) will be released summer 2023 for the PlayStation 5. The press release by Square Enix makes no mention of any other platform for this game.
The newest trailer shown off earlier this evening seems to focus on battles between Eikons (summons) and other giant foes such as other Eikons.
Square Enix says that Final Fantasy XVI is fully playable from start to finish at this current point in time. However, they still need time to go through the process of optimization and other various tweaks ahead of actually releasing the game.
If this title ever makes its way to other platforms (such as the PC), I expect it to be at least a year after the PlayStation 5 release. Even then, it may spend another year+ as an exclusive on Epic Games Store. In very related news, Final Fantasy VII Remake is still exclusive to PlayStation and the Epic Games Store at the time of this writing.
