Borderlands 3

Borderlands 3 will officially be released on September 13, 2019 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the Epic Games Store for PC. In case you missed the obvious "hints" dropped earlier this week, or were in denial as I repeatedly saw from people on other sites, the PC release is indeed a six month timed exclusive on the Epic Game Store before it will hit other PC storefronts like Steam.

However, the point of this isn't to talk about how completely bullshit exclusives are, especially when it comes to the PC market, but we are instead here to talk about Borderlands 3. We do have some information about the locations and characters you'll see and play as throughout your lootin' and shootin' adventures. There's also going to be a gameplay reveal event livestream on May 1. If you cannot wait until May 1 to see gameplay, then just scroll to the bottom of this post to see a tiny bit of gameplay in today's new trailer.

2K President David Ismailer had a few things to say about the Epic Games Store exclusive. This is what he shared in today's press release.

“The PC gaming community has been an important part of the success of the Borderlands series, and we are excited to be partnering with Epic who recognize its worldwide popularity and share in our commitment to bring Borderlands 3 to this rapidly expanding audience,” said Ismailer. “Our mission, in addition to delivering the most engaging and captivating entertainment experiences, is to embrace new distribution platforms that will contribute to our effort to grow the audience for Borderlands 3.”
