Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) just put out a notice that they are offering full refunds to those PlayStation consumers that purchased Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store. Furthermore, SIE says that they are pulling Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store until further notice.
Sony has set up a dedicated landing page that offers a link for you to request your refund in addition to providing the details that we have shared with you tonight.
This comes hot on the heels of a MOUNTAIN of issues surrounding this game. Notably on the PlayStation 4, the game runs like hot trash on the base consoles. This is just on top of the bugs and issues that are common on all platforms and all versions of the game. CD Projekt Red has already released one patch for the game, but it's putting a band-aid on a burst dam.
SIE strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store. SIE will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.
Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund. Please note that completion of the refund may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.

I was under the impression it worked ok playing it that way.
It's also worth noting Sony and MS are partially to blame for allowing it through certification, giving the impression that they were fine with the quality of the game, though Gerstmann brought up games that pass if the developers convince them it'll be fixed by launch.
Note, this is not my image, but it should give you a clear picture of its issues on PS5:
