Server's haunted.
Bungie has taken down both Destiny and Destiny 2 for "emergency maintenance." This announcement was made via Twitter just a short time ago.
There is no real word on what the issue currently is, but prior to this maintenance, they said that they were looking into problems that were preventing players from logging in.
This is kind of thing was pretty much expected today though. First off, Destiny 2: Shadowkeep was released. Secondly, today also saw the release of Destiny 2: New Light, the free-to-play release of the game. And finally, today marks the game's first release on Steam after transistioning from Battle.net. There are a lot of things going on today and there is no doubt that Bungie is trying to manage things as best as they can possibly hope to manage them.
