Final Fantasy XIV seems to be doing quite well for itself still. Square Enix said today that the MMORPG has surpassed 10 million players from around the world. Well, to be specific they do note that it's 10 million cumulative players and that that number does include those who have played a free trial. Still though, it's a big number.

Speaking of free trials, there is a free trial available for everyone right now. You can play Final Fantasy XIV for free up to content level 35 along with creating up to eight playable characters. Though do keep in mind that one character can literally play as any class. There is no restriction on play time with this trial, only on being able to play pretty much most of the game's missions.
