help please. game is stuttering

ok i am sick of this. ive been having this problem since thursday. first the game was very choppy. i used the pb_500 thing and saved it, it helped a little bit. then i updated my video card. it still didnt help. i joined a server, i avg 40 fps and my ping was 26 and its still stuttering. really bad. i dont know what to do. ive been playing bf2 for 2 months now and this just randomly happened. i did everything i could do. i cleaned my computer, i did anti virus scans adware spyware all that stuff and it didnt help. also i could only join 3 servers and get decent pings(still stutters though), otherwise i join a different server i get 150-300 ping and then get kicked out. i have cable and this never happened before either. i never had problem with ping. i also updated punk buster. didnt help.

my knowledge of fixing stuff is exhausted help please.

and let me get this straight: your game was working fine WITH 1.12 patch.. then randomly one day you get horrible stuttering? overall low FPS, or stuttering?

have u tried manually updating PB, this sumtimes cauises me to get random stutters, sum times unplayable. Goto ur BF2 directory
C:\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\pb Then to the PB folder & double click pbweb icon & it shud auto update u from there. Once this has been done try BF2 again.

(this have been my custom settings since i got the game)

i just started monitoring my fps when i noticed decrease in performance.
i didnt know what my previous fps before the problem. but my game stutters even when my ping is at 26 in one of the three servers i can only play without getting kicked due to my high ping. thank you for replying btw

it was NOT on friday that it happened, but BEFORE friday.

after friday though, it was laggy the whole time.

Dont get angry man, people can only help if they know what the problem is. No one is going to post if they have no clue whats happening. This is the only issue I know of that people have NO solution for.

Just gotta wait and hope someone smarter than us comes along and finds out whats wrong.

yeah man, maybe your computer just isnt good enough. These forums are to help people who have issues with their software or hardware and need tuning or help. Not just because they have bad specs and want 1000 FPS. Im not saying this is you, but many people get random stuttering and FPS drops. maybe some spyware got into your system, or something. We do the best we can to help.

I had the same problem mate... I uninstalled BF2 and reinstalled it updated it agian and it was ok.

Worked ok for a couple of days but im now having trouble with punkbuster :cry:

well just checking, do you guys have stuttering, not lag, that just starts at the start of each roudn and goes for maybe a minute or two, then stops?

because that just started happening to me a week ago when it never did it before.
