The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has officially gone gold. This simply means that the game is ready to be mass produced for retail release and is on track for its release on October 28 for the PC, PS4, and XB1.
The Special Edition features a significant overhaul to the game, including:

• Mod support on consoles
• Remastered art and effects
• Volumetric lighting (“God Rays”)
• Dynamic Depth of Field
• Screen-space reflections
• New snow and water shaders

In addition to this news, Bethesda also revealed the system requirements for the Special Edition. Keep in mind that you will get a free upgrade to the Special Edition if you already own the game and all of the previously released DLC.
