Compulsion Games showed off the first five minutes of We Happy Few, and wow is it trippy. Literally. We Happy Few is set in 1964 England, but an England in which World War II was lost for the Allies. In a dystopian, mod 1964 England that lost World War II, the citizens of Wellington Wells are taking a happy drug called "Joy", and living in denial over their grim existence and a terrible past. Can you survive among them once you stop taking your Joy and become a “Downer"?
We Happy Few is coming to the PC (Windows, Mac, & Linux) and Xbox One this year. It will be available on Steam Early Access and the Xbox One Game Preview program on July 26.
