Only one person out of a group I typically play with is getting this game at launch. And he's only getting it because he got a free copy. The beta was okay but it was a lot of flash and not much substance. Battlefield 4 is still scratching that itch I sometimes get for this style of gameplay.

Definitely not going to get this game either. I was rather disappointed in the beta. It became an easy faceroll once you mastered 3rd person and found the "OP Loadout". It played a lot like a Battlefield re-skin. Almost exactly like how BF: Vietnam was. It introduced a lot of new elements and whatnot but at it's core it was the same game. I feel that Battlefront should be priced like Vietnam was. There's nothing truly new and groundbreaking to warrant calling it a "new game" to me.

I believe it's far from a Battlefield reskin. BEsides being an FPS and using the same engine, that's where the similarities end. The shooting and handling of it is absolutely different. Perharps if it shared some more mechanics with Battlefield, such as being able to enter vehicles on the ground, and taking off and landing ships (like the previous battlefronts)...
But they wanted to make the game feel like you where in a movie, and they certantly made that right. The problem is, how many times can you see the same movie play before getting tired of it?
