The 6.1 update for World of Warcraft (currently up on the public test realm) will introduce the ability to take selfies. Specifically, it adds in the "S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera" to the game, which ... takes selfies.

MMO Zone, a German site, shows off some of the new features of the S.E.L.F.I.E. Camera, which includes seeing the character stretch out their arm to hold the "camera" and even applying various filters to the scene. The camera is a reward for a new "Field Photography" mission in the game. The actual camera usage starts around the 55 second mark.

Yikes. There is nothing about this that makes me happy.

However, 6.1 will also include new character models for the Blood Elves. It will also feature Twitter integration so that you have even less reason to quit the game. The update also includes a new Heirloom collection tab, tons of changes to garrisons, outposts, and followers, plus the usual changes to every race and class in the game. You can read the full list of changes at Battle.net.
