2K and Turtle Rock revealed today that their 4v1 multiplayer title, Evolve, has officially gone gold today. To mark the occasion, the teams have released the intro cinematic for the game.
In addition, Turtle Rock had pledged not to shave or cut their hair until the game passed certification. They promised to pledge $50 to the Child's Play charity for each inch of beard grown and head of hair cut after this milestone was reached. The totals from this include 227.5 inches of hair cut and a total amount raised was $11,375! 2K said that they are matching that donation to bring the total raised for charity up to $22,750!
Evolve looks to be on track for its February 10 release on the PC, PS4, and XB1. There will be an open beta next week for Xbox One users that will be used for some pre-release fine tuning.
