In a move that should help Crytek out financially for the short term, they have sold the Homefront IP to Koch Media, the parent company of Deep Silver. This sale will see Crytek UK turn into Deep Silver Dambuster Studios. It should also hopefully mean that those still left at the former Crytek UK will finally start to get paid again.

Koch has stated that development on Homefront: The Revolution will continue at Deep Silver Dambuster Studios. Hasit Zala had left Crytek UK a few weeks ago as the former Director of the game, is heading up the new Deep Silver studio that will be working on Homefront.

Larkspur, Calif., July 30, 2014 – Today, Koch Media together with its publishing label Deep Silver announces that it has acquired the Homefront® brand and all coherent assets from Crytek. This includes Homefront: The Revolution which was previously announced on June 2nd, 2014. The development will be continued in newly founded, Nottingham-based Deep Silver Dambuster Studios.
