According to a recent Tweet made by BioWare's General Manager, Aaryn Flynn, the company has discussed the possibility of bringing a "remastered" version of the Mass Effect trilogy to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
A remastered version in this case may be something akin to what happened with Tomb Raider. Perhaps including higher resolution textures, 1080p native, and running at 60fps.
Again, this is in no way a confirmation of anything. He merely said that the company has discussed it internally as a possibility for the future.
