Apparently, the Internet is busy being the Internet again and some are donning their foil hats and saying Respawn Entertainment has bribed journalists for the favorable Titanfall reception.

The company went on the defensive with a post from Respawn's Drew McCoy at NeoGAF.
Anyone who thinks we weren't living in the shadow of decade+ old established franchises at our reveal at E3 are as crazy as their conspiracy theories of anyone getting paid off. We've had to fight tooth and nail to have a game that anyone would even know existed, let alone be excited for and want to create coverage of. I get it that its not for everyone, but to say we're paying anyone off is downright insanity. Not to mention the height of insulting.

God forbid that people actually like a game because it's actually fun. I'm not saying that there aren't cases of bribes or special "perks" being handed out to sway opinions, but are these sort of conspiracy theories going to pop up every damn time a game has a positive reception prior to release?
