Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Caster Sadokist in Hot Water for Using Racial Slurs, Telling Viewers to Kill Themselves
The somewhat well-known Counter-Strike: Global Offensive caster, Sadokist, is finding himself in some hot water today after he let out at least one obvious racial slur and told his viewers to kill themselves.
In the Streamable videos below, a couple of Sadokist's remarks are viewable. Be warned that the first video features a racial slur while the second link has him telling a viewer to kill themselves.
Sadokist going with the hard "r" slur.

Valve Discusses Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Negev Changes
In a blog posting that went up last night, Valve started to detail some of the changes and thoughts they have in mind for the Negev in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Some of these changes are already being tested as part of a beta update for CS:GO but they say that the changes, barring any issues, will go live soon. Their main focus right now is making the Negev a weapon that can provide adequate suppression in the heat of a battle.
At this point it’s clear that the upside of... -

A Big Steam Client Update was Just Released
Valve pushed out a rather beefy update to the Steam client. No, there aren't really any visual or layout changes in this update, but it does have a lot of improvements for the client for those across all platforms that Steam is available on.
Changes for Steam client for March 21, 2018
General • Reduced CPU usage of Steam when redrawing the UI, such as when the mouse is moved back and forth over part of the Library view • Improved behavior when re-installing from retail... -

Valve Announces Subscription Service Dota Plus "An Evolution of the Majors Battle Pass"
Earlier today, Valve announced Dota Plus, a new monthly subscription service for Dota 2 that is "designed to help you get the most out of every match you play." They're also calling it an "evolution of the Battle Pass" that Valve tends to put out for events like The International or the Majors. The difference now is that the Pro Circuit meant that the Majors Battle Passes are being replaced with this Dota Plus service. It won't rely on a specific start and end date and it's something t... -

CS:GO Betting Scammer PhantomL0rd Suing Twitch Because He's Probably Running Out of Money or Something
In 2016, PhantomL0rd was found to be involved in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive bet rigging and being an undisclosed partial owner of CSGOShuffle, a skin betting website.
Sorry, I meant to say that he was allegedly a total douche canoe that scammed numerous people out of money by lying to them. To make a long story short, PhantomL0rd was banned from Twitch after news broke about his "allegedly" douchey actions.
Fast-forward now to 2018 and PhantomL0rd is now suing... -

PSA: Steam Lunar New Year Sale Begins; Valve Makes Improvements to Steam Wishlist
First off, Valve kicked off the Steam Lunar New Year Sale today with "discounts on thousands of titles." I mean, it's a sale on Steam. You kind of already know what the deal is with that by now. Go forth and save money, or don't. It's entirely up to you.
Secondly, Valve pushed out an update to Wishlists on Steam.
This update adds more filtering and sorting options, and shows more relevant information such as Early Access state, review score, and ‘add to cart’ buttons... -

Counter-Strike Co-Creator Deemed "A Risk to the Community" and Hit with $150K Bail
On Friday, Counter-Strike co-creator Jess Cliffe was hit with a $150,000 bail after being booked into King County jail on Thursday. The representative for the King County Prosecuting Attorney's office, Nyoka Maraire, requested that the bail be set for $250,000. This would be for both the "community's safety and the victim's safety." The $250,000 bail was requested after it was found that Cliffe had used an adult website to contact a minor and paid for sex multiple times. During one ... -

Counter-Strike Co-Creator Jess Cliffe Arrested for Sexual Exploitation of a Child (Update: Valve Suspends Cliffe)
Jess Cliffe was arrested this morning (February 1, 2018) at 1:17AM (PT) for "sexual exploitation of a child." For those few of you who do not know, Jess Cliffe is a co-creator of Counter-Strike. He and Minh Le (Gooseman) created the wildly popular game back in 2000. It started as a modification for Half-Life and since became a number of very popular stand-alone products. While the police did not provide any additional details, we do know that Cliffe does not have a criminal history. He was book... -

Cloud9 Defeats FaZe at ELEAGUE Boston 2018 to Become First American Roster to Win CS:GO Major
Cloud9 has become the first American Counter-Strike: Global Offensive roster to win a Major Championship. Cloud9 defeated FaZe Clan 14-16, 16-10, and 22-19 (2OT) in the Grand Final event that took place earlier tonight. Perhaps just as impressive are the numbers that ELEAGUE pulled in for tonight's event. More than 1,130,000 streams were broadcast at the same time. That has now set a new record on Twitch for most concurrent streams at one time for a single channel. The previous record was ... -

CS:GO Update for January 10: Panorama UI for CS:GO is... Still Not Here
The moment you're all waiting for is finally here. The moment where you are again disappointed at the lack of the Panorama UI for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Oh well, you should be used to this kind of disappointment by now. At least now you know how your parents feel.
However, today's update instead ends the Holiday Cheer event, and provides a couple of minor changes.
Changelog for CS:GO for January 10, 2018

CES 2018: HTC and Valve Announce SteamVR Tracking 2.0 and Vive Pro Headset
Today, Valve and HTC announced a minor technology bump to the HTC Vive. This bump comes in the form of SteamVR Tracking 2.0, which allows for users to link up to four Base Stations in a single space. In addition to making the jump from two to four stations, the improved technology allows for game space areas to jump to sizes as large as 10 by 10 meters. Valve tells us that the new technology is expected to ship with commercial devises later this year. The new 2.0 Base Stations will be "sm... -

Steam Hits New Record - Surpasses 18.5 Million Users Online at Once
Yet again, Steam has hit another new milestone. The online distribution platform had over 18.5 million people logged in at one time yesterday. This is not only a new record for the platform, but it's a new record by a long shot. The previous record was a decent amount under 18 million people.
The record was hit on Saturday, January 6 around 10AM (ET). Just a few months ago the top concurrent users logged in count was 15 million. It's seen a relatively steady increase of about...
