From the same company trying to sell you a $130 version of Star Wars Outlaws.

From announcing a $130 edition of Star Wars Outlaws to pulling game licenses from those that bought The Crew, Ubisoft sure is on a roll this week.

The Crew was Ubisoft's open-world racing game that was pulled from sale back in December 2023. As of March 31, 2024, Ubisoft shut down the online servers for The Crew. This effectively made the game unplayable across all platforms, including: PC,...

Tim Sweeney is always mad.

The antitrust lawsuit against Valve from Wolfire Games got a little spicy this week. To quickly get you up to speed: Wolfire claims that Valve uses its position with Steam to control game prices and muscle out competition. Though the initial lawsuit against Valve was dismissed, Wolfire amended their suit in May 2022 and the legal battle was back on.

It may have taken almost two years, but we are now starting to see some of the documents that...

Valve Discusses Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Negev Changes

In a blog posting that went up last night, Valve started to detail some of the changes and thoughts they have in mind for the Negev in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Some of these changes are already being tested as part of a beta update for CS:GO but they say that the changes, barring any issues, will go live soon. Their main focus right now is making the Negev a weapon that can provide adequate suppression in the heat of a battle.
At this point it’s clear that the upside of

In 2016, PhantomL0rd was found to be involved in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive bet rigging and being an undisclosed partial owner of CSGOShuffle, a skin betting website.

Sorry, I meant to say that he was allegedly a total douche canoe that scammed numerous people out of money by lying to them. To make a long story short, PhantomL0rd was banned from Twitch after news broke about his "allegedly" douchey actions.

Fast-forward now to 2018 and PhantomL0rd is now suing...

On Friday, Counter-Strike co-creator Jess Cliffe was hit with a $150,000 bail after being booked into King County jail on Thursday. The representative for the King County Prosecuting Attorney's office, Nyoka Maraire, requested that the bail be set for $250,000. This would be for both the "community's safety and the victim's safety." The $250,000 bail was requested after it was found that Cliffe had used an adult website to contact a minor and paid for sex multiple times. During one ...

Jess Cliffe was arrested this morning (February 1, 2018) at 1:17AM (PT) for "sexual exploitation of a child." For those few of you who do not know, Jess Cliffe is a co-creator of Counter-Strike. He and Minh Le (Gooseman) created the wildly popular game back in 2000. It started as a modification for Half-Life and since became a number of very popular stand-alone products. While the police did not provide any additional details, we do know that Cliffe does not have a criminal history. He was book...
