Today, we'll talk quickly about the PC release date for Phantasy Star Online 2 in the West, sales figures for both Persona 5 Royal and the Dark Souls franchise. Will there be more? Maybe! What's this? Is this a quickhits? Is this a newsbites? Sure, whatever you want to call it, this is it. Let's take a quick look at the games that were released today that I was made aware of due to a press release hitting my Inbox.

John Wick Hex is out today on PC and Mac exclusively through the Epic Games Store. The game is $19.99 (USD) when you use affiliate code "zips" at checkout. It's $19.99 even without that...

It's a busy release day, this day of Fri, or "Friday" as some of you may call it. We already talked about the PC release of Sunset Overdrive but did you know that other games also came out today? It's true.

Why not put up a separate news post for each of the following Friday releases? The answer my astound you: I'm feeling lazy. Hell, there might even bee a few things in this Newsbits that doesn't have anything to do with a new release today.

• Mars Chaos...

It's Thursday, which means it's time for some games to be released and updated? Uh, I guess so? It's not the usual release date but we had a few releases today plus at least one game update to pass along in this the latest, and most certainly greatest, Newsbits.

• Pool Panic is out today on the Nintendo Switch and PC. It's a pool simulator. Rather, it's the "World's Least Realistic Pool Simulator" as Adult Swim Games and Rekim are calling it.

Some games came out today. These games include Vampyr, ONRUSH (review still coming), Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn, and Shape of the World. Let's just make this a Newsbits while we're at it and tack on some additional news about non-new releases.

It's late on a Tuesday and that probably means I slept through most of the day like a moron. Sleeping through Tuesdays is rather bad because that's when most of the game releases happen, unless you're Nintendo. Nintendo prefers Friday. Oddly enough, a number of publishers are starting to shift to Fridays as well, but most still do not. Which brings us back to my first point: My sleep schedule sucks.

We have some spooky and not-so-spooky game and DLC releases for you today. Who knows though, maybe it's all spooky to you depending on your definition of "scary." Today, WWE 2K18 was released alongside The Evil Within 2. Also released today is Crytek announcing an Early Access release of Hunt: Showdown and an open alpha for a multiplayer brawl-shooter called Aftercharge.
