Review: FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One

The best feeling controller I've ever used.

Much like its FightPad sibling, the Fusion Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One is also an officially licensed product from Microsoft. That is about where the similarities end between these two drastically different peripherals. Where the FightPad is focused on just one specific genre, the Fusion Pro is built to take on all types of games.

This controller features a soft touch plastic faceplate, rubberized back, metallic accent rings, the same snap-lock USB cable from the FightPad, a 3.5mm audio jack on...

Review: FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One

A design blast from the past.

About a month ago, we brought you news on some new controllers coming out from PowerA. Specifically, the news was about the company's new FUSION Pro controllers and their FUSION FightPad offerings. At the same time, we were offered the opportunity to review these controllers.

Over the past month, I have put both the black FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One and the FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One through their paces. Of the two, I have spent far more time with the Pro controller, but you can read about that...

This news comes hot on the heels of word that Modern Warfare is doing away with paid map packs and loot boxes.

Each weapon now also has 100 earnable camo patterns and an average of 50 attachments. You...

Review: GreedFall (PC)

A long and thrilling journey.

GreedFall is a game that filled a gaping void I did not know I had for a new action-RPG experience. Though it lacks some of the polish you would expect from a major game release these days, the game still rewards the player with fun and varied combat, complex story beats, and an overall experience that should make even the veterans at BioWare sit up and take notice. For those of you that have been on the fence about picking up GreedFall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not go pick it up right now.

Blizzard Issues Insultingly Pathetic Statement About Blitzchung Suspension and Reasoning

The cowards just doubled down.

Taking a page from politicians and businesses that know late on Friday is the best time to release news that you are positively ashamed to share, Blizzard has finally issued a statement about the recent ban on Blitzchung and two Hearthstone casters.

Before we get into it all, let's just read what they have to say. Here is Blizzard's full statement as it currently appears on their website.

Despite a reduction of six months for the suspension, Blizzard is still punishing Blitzchung. The...

Unreleased Half-Life 2 Episode Map Leaked

The folks over at ValveTime got their hands on some of the uncompiled source files for an unreleased Half-Life 2 episode. Included in the leak are a series of files related to the Half-Life 2: Episode series of games. These include maps for Episode One, several early Episode Two maps, and a map from a canceled Episode that was in development from Junction Point Studios. The map dates back to late 2005 and shows off a snow-themed version of Ravenholm. It includes "small puzzles, scripted sequences, and fights." It's important to note that this was not tied in...

Steam No Longer Counts Review Scores from People Who Didn't Pay

Have you received a game for free on Steam? Did you then review that game? If so, your review score no longer counts towards the game's overall score on Steam. Valve pushed out this rather substantial change to the Steam Customer Review system yesterday as a follow-up to changes they made back in September.
With the changes we are making now, the review score (shown at the top of store pages and in various places throughout the store such as search results) will no longer include reviews by users that received the game for free, such as via a gift, or during

Valve Lowers Barrier to Entry for SteamVR Tracking Development

Valve announced tonight that they are nixing the requirement to attend a $3,000 training course for their SteamVR Tracking solution.
After working with numerous third parties and updating the tools, Valve is opening more direct access to the technology and course work, available free of charge in English and Chinese. The full, in person training courses are still available for those interested. In addition, SteamVR base stations will be available from Valve later this year. SteamVR Tracking was first made available to third parties in August of la

CS:GO Player Uses Exploit to Spam Chat and Avoid Kicks

Reddit has made the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community aware of a player (or players) that has been going around to servers, spamming chat, and avoiding being kicked.

The user is on some sort of crusade to make Valve aware of cheaters in CS:GO by going about it in one of the most ass-backwards ways possible. All that Valve has done so far is provide a small solution to mitigate the exploit that the user is making use of. In the longer term Valve is "working on a solution" but they do not yet have an ETA on when that full fix will be deployed. ...

  • Portal Writer Erik Wolpaw Leaves Valve

Portal Writer Erik Wolpaw Leaves Valve

Another amazing talent parted ways with Valve today. Erik Wolpaw, the writer best known for his work on the Portal games, both of the Half-Life 2 episodes, and Old Man Murray, has officially left Valve.

Wolpaw was also a co-writer for Left 4 Dead. Prior to his work at Valve, Wolpaw helped to write Psychonauts with Double Fine Productions. Back in 2004, Wolpaw was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and planned to quit Valve as he wouldn't be able to fulfill his duties due to a worsening condition. Gabe Newell surprised Wolpaw by saying that his job was to...

  • People Are Losing Their Minds Over Steam Direct Pricing That Hasn't Even Been Announced Yet

People are absolutely losing their minds over a $5,000 fee that was merely mentioned in Valve's new blog posting about Steam Direct. Oh yeah, Valve announced Steam Direct today. Steam Direct is slated to completely replace Steam Greenlight. That's the good news!

The bad news is that people are more focusing more on one particular aspect of today's announcement: Pricing. See, Valve asked developers how much they would be willing to pay to get their game added to Steam Direct. The prices they got back ranged from $100 to $5,000. Naturally, you can...

  • Valve Working on Three "Full" VR Games

Valve Working on Three "Full" VR Games

Valve still wants people to know that they make video games. In a recent media round table event at Valve's Bellevue HQ, Gabe Newell stated that their studio is working on three full virtual reality titles.
"Right now we're building three VR games."

There you go, that's all the news.

Naw, just kidding. He did say a bit more about these projects but not much more.
"When I say we're building three games, we're building three full games, not experiments.(...) "One of the questions you might be asking is 'Why in the worl
