Review: FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One

The best feeling controller I've ever used.

Much like its FightPad sibling, the Fusion Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One is also an officially licensed product from Microsoft. That is about where the similarities end between these two drastically different peripherals. Where the FightPad is focused on just one specific genre, the Fusion Pro is built to take on all types of games.

This controller features a soft touch plastic faceplate, rubberized back, metallic accent rings, the same snap-lock USB cable from the FightPad, a 3.5mm audio jack on...

Review: FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One

A design blast from the past.

About a month ago, we brought you news on some new controllers coming out from PowerA. Specifically, the news was about the company's new FUSION Pro controllers and their FUSION FightPad offerings. At the same time, we were offered the opportunity to review these controllers.

Over the past month, I have put both the black FUSION Pro Wired Controller for Xbox One and the FUSION Wired FightPad for Xbox One through their paces. Of the two, I have spent far more time with the Pro controller, but you can read about that...

New progression system details revealed.

A new blog focused on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare went up today that talks about the progression changes that were made for this year's release. First off, there are no more Prestige levels. Players will be able to earn 55 base levels and 100 additional Officer Ranks in each season of play.

This news comes hot on the heels of word that Modern Warfare is doing away with paid map packs and loot boxes.

Each weapon now also has 100 earnable camo patterns and an average of 50 attachments. You...

Review: GreedFall (PC)

A long and thrilling journey.

GreedFall is a game that filled a gaping void I did not know I had for a new action-RPG experience. Though it lacks some of the polish you would expect from a major game release these days, the game still rewards the player with fun and varied combat, complex story beats, and an overall experience that should make even the veterans at BioWare sit up and take notice. For those of you that have been on the fence about picking up GreedFall, you would be doing yourself a disservice if you did not go pick it up right now.

Blizzard Issues Insultingly Pathetic Statement About Blitzchung Suspension and Reasoning

The cowards just doubled down.

Taking a page from politicians and businesses that know late on Friday is the best time to release news that you are positively ashamed to share, Blizzard has finally issued a statement about the recent ban on Blitzchung and two Hearthstone casters.

Before we get into it all, let's just read what they have to say. Here is Blizzard's full statement as it currently appears on their website.

Despite a reduction of six months for the suspension, Blizzard is still punishing Blitzchung. The...

  • Gabe Newell Responds to Terrible Dota 2 Shanghai Major - Calls James Harding an Ass, Fires Production Company

Apparently, the Dota 2 Shanghai Major is kind of a shitshow. There are apparently problems with players getting the appropriate hardware, there are problems with being unable to watch the matches, and the list goes on.

It apparently got so bad that Gabe Newell took to the Dota 2 subreddit to reveal that someone named James is an ass and that they're firing the production company.
Two things: 1) James. We've had issues with James at previous events. Some Valve people lobbied to bring him back for Shanghai, feeling that he deserved another cha

Valve Increases Every CS:GO Major to $1 Million Prize Pool

Valve is starting to show the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive competitive scene a bit more love. Starting with MLG Columbus 2016, every CS:GO Major Championship will have a prize pool of $1 million.
When we announced the first CS:GO Major Championship in 2013, we hoped the Majors would be rallying points for the community, tent-pole events that could draw new audiences and amplify the value of all events. Since then, the professional CS:GO community has been growing at an incredible rate. CS:GO tournaments are now among the largest esports events in t

    SteamVR Performance Test is Live

Valve has just made live their SteamVR Performance Test to assess if your PC is ready for our virtual reality future.
The SteamVR Performance Test measures your system's rendering power using a 2-minute sequence from Valves Aperture Robot Repair VR demo. After collecting the data it determines whether your system is capable of running VR content at 90fps and whether VR content can tune the visual fidelity up to the recommended level. For machines that are not VR Ready the tool can help determine whether capabilities are bound by Graphics Card, CPU, or b

  • PSA: Source Engine Security Warning, Loophole Spoofs SteamIDs Grants File Write Permissions on Client Machines

There is a post on the Steam section of Reddit by a user that claims he discovered a severe security loophole with Source Engine games. Specifically, it's a problem with multiplayer games running on Source, including games like Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Garry's Mod, Dota 2, and more. The user claims that he found a way to not only spoof Steam IDs, but he also found a way that would allow malicious server admins to "(write) files on every client." To put it bluntly if this is true, it could be quite harmful if used by the wrong types...

For $9.99 (USD), you get a stand-alone experience that is roughly the length of Half-Life 2: Episode One. You do not need to have Half-Life 2 or any other Source title installed...

Pro Player Saved by Dropped Bomb in CS:GO ESL Match

In an ESL Pro League match between Astralis and Natus Vincere (Na`Vi), a player was saved by the most unlikely of objects: The bomb. Player dupreeh from team Astralis was essentially staring down the barrel of seized's AWP when his life was saved due to a falling bomb dropped by seized's teammate, flamie, blocking the shot.
