Valve rolled out Steam Direct today to developers. This spiritual successor to Steam Greenlight promises a few changes that will maybe make it not suck as much as Greenlight did. With any luck, it will perhaps cut back on the number of low to no effort games. Perhaps.

MissQGemini was a Counter-Strike: Global Offensive streamer on Twitch. I say was because Twitch has already taken action against them after the following events unfolded on a recent Twitch stream. Steam Direct Fee Details and Changes to Steam Curators
With the imminent death of Steam Greenlight, Valve finally started to get some details out about their Steam Direct program that will replace it. Valve announced that The International 2017 DOTA 2 tournament will take place from August 7 through August 12, 2017. The event will be held at Seattle's KeyArena. Included in the leak are a series of files related to the Half-Life 2: Episode series of games. Valve Removes Revolver and Negev from Competitive Matchmaking in CS:GO Update
Tonight's update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive sees both the Revolver and Negev from Competitive Matchmaking as they go through "substantial revision." The full list of changes can be found below.

Steam No Longer Counts Review Scores from People Who Didn't Pay
Have you received a game for free on Steam? Did you then review that game? If so, your review score no longer counts towards the game's overall score on Steam. Valve pushed out this rather substantial change to the Steam Customer Review system yesterday as a follow-up to changes they made back in September.
With the changes we are making now, the review score (shown at the top of store pages and in various places throughout the store such as search results) will no longer include...
