Valve has another little feature that they put together for every Steam user. You have the big Steam Winter Sale still going on. You also have your personal recaps to check out with the Steam Replay feature that went live right after Christmas. Now, you have the overall Steam "Best of 2022" to check out.

Steam's Best of 2022 is a look back at the year's overall top sellers, the most-played games, the top new releases that came out in 2022, and more. There are also categories for best VR games, best games for Steam Deck, and even a category showing off some of Steam's biggest Early Access success stories.

While the full lists won't be shared, the games that were the overall top sellers, the best new releases, and the year's most played will be seen below. For the top selling games, the "Platinum" designation places them in the top 12 games for the year by gross revenues. The most played games are the titles that had over 240,000 peak concurrent players at some point in the year. The games are presented in each section in no particular order.
