For the first time ever, you'll be cheering for those long musical performances.

Valve just sent out a press release announcing that they are giving away one 512GB Steam Deck every minute during the live airing of The Game Awards.

Entry is relatively simple. Head on over to the Steam Deck giveaway page, click on the giant blue button to register, and maybe set yourself a reminder to watch the show. That's pretty much it for now.

During the live airing of The Game Awards, which takes place starting December 8 at 5PM (PT), you will need to watch through Steam. The only way you even have a chance to win is if you are watching The Game Awards through Steam when the drawings take place. And since those drawings take place every single minute, you probably won't want to look away.

Here is Valve's official wording on how this will all work, just in case my explanation wasn't enough.

HOW THE GIVEAWAY WILL WORK

You must register to enter the drawing and be watching The Game Awards on Steam to be eligible to win.

To register, you must be in the US, Canada, UK, or the EU, have made purchase on Steam between November 14, 2021 and November 14, 2022 to verify the country, be in good standing, and not have a limited account. Learn about limited accounts.

On December 8th when The Game Awards airs, every minute a random name will be drawn from the pool of registrants currently watching the show on Steam.

We will be streaming The Game Awards at https://steam.tv - winner will be announced in chat as each drawing takes place.

Full official rules can be found here.
If you do set a reminder for Google Calendar, please note that it currently sets it so that The Game Awards run from December 8 through December 12. You will have to edit those dates and times manually unless Valve reads my email and fixes it by the time you read this.
