New 'Experimental' Splinter Cell Game Confirmed by Ubisoft CEO

Open World? GAAS? Mobile? VR?

The emotional rollercoaster that fans of the Splinter Cell series has been on for the past few years has been never ending, has had no chill, and frankly, it's gotten to be a wee bit tiresome. In May of this year, a new Splinter Cell was apparently "confirmed" and then it was later revealed to just be a joke.

Last month, we again heard a rumor that a new Splinter Cell was actually in the works. However, that story from July says that Facebook is financing the game and that it will be a VR only title and exclusive to the Oculus...

Mojang Cancels 'Super Duper Graphics Pack' for Minecraft

Performance issues and engine difficulties were too much to overcome.

Sadly, Mojang announced today that they are cancelling the promised Super Duper Graphics Pack that was originally revealed at E3 2017. This visual overhaul was teased for the game during the annual industry trade show and fans were eager to check it out for themselves.

This was going to be an optional piece of DLC that brought a suite of visual improvements to the Xbox One and PC versions of the game without needing to mod it. Sure, a lot of the visual improvements have been done time and time again...

Call of Duty 2020 Rumored to Be Black Ops Reboot

Next stop: Reboot City.

This year, Call of Duty fans are getting a reboot of the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare title. Next year, fans may get a reboot of the Black Ops series. This is if the latest rumors are to be believed.

The 2020 Call of Duty will either be Call of Duty: Black Ops 5 or simply Call of Duty: Black Ops. The game will be set in the Cold War era and will also include the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

This all comes courtesy of YouTuber TheLongSensation via his Twitter account. While it may be easy to just write this off as some random person...

No Man's Sky Beyond Launch Trailer

Update arrives August 14.

A launch trailer for the massive Beyond update for No Man's Sky was released today by Hello Games. This update is said to be the "culmination of 12 months of work" on what was originally going to be three separate, large updates. Those three updates have been rolled into this massive update.

We already touched upon some of the new features and content coming to the game in our last post. The biggest addition, at least for PC and PlayStation VR owners, is the addition of full VR support for No Man's Sky. There are also some additional...

Solos Finally Coming to Apex Legends

But only for a limited time.

Apex Legends will finally allow introverts to play without worry starting on August 13. A Solos Mode will be introduced into the F2P battle royale game. So far, the game has only really allowed for three-man squads.

The addition of Solos Mode is the good news. The bad news is that this mode will only be added to the game for a limited time. This Solos Mode will run from August 13 through August 27 in Apex Legends. Best get your fill of it while you can, because who knows when or if it will come back afterwards. ...

  • Project Cars 2 Finally Gets Fun this Winter

Project Cars 2 Finally Gets Fun this Winter

The "Fun Pack" for Project Cars 2 was announced today. If you weren't having fun yet in this racing title, then maybe this Fun Pack will be right up your alley? The weird thing is that this Fun Pack is slated for release in "Winter 2017" and well, 2017 is almost over. I'm guessing they either mean this content will be out before the end of the year or "Winter 2017" includes the Winter season that began in 2017 and ends in 2018.

The Fun Pack includes two new tracks and eight new cars. And God help you if you don't have fun with them.

  • Steam Community Reportedly Blocked in China

Steam Community Reportedly Blocked in China

China sure does love its censorship. By that I mean actual censorship, not that fake "censorship" bullshit that people like to throw around like it's going out of style when they have no other avenue to turn to in an argument. No, we're talking about real, bonafide censorship from the Chinese government here. The latest victim appears to be the Steam Community.

This information comes to us courtesy of ValveTime on Twitter. They pull their information from GreatFire, a website that appears to keep track of the sites and services blocked in China. From the looks of things, the Steam Community has been...

Just a week ago we brought you word that Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag was free courtesy of Ubisoft and their Uplay digital platform. All you had to do was log into your Uplay account and add the game and it was yours to keep forever.

It seems as though those who were late to the party have a second chance at experiencing a fun game. Their free game giveaway has been extended until December 23, 2017. That places the new deadline at the end of this week.

Not only has the deadline been extended, but Ubisoft has added Watch Dogs to the free game list that already included Black Flag and World in C...
