This is it. This is the year that football fans on PC have been waiting a while for. EA announced today that EA Sports Madden NFL 24 will be the first release that offers up all of those next-gen features to the PC crowd. This means that stuff like FieldSense and the new Sapien Technology will be included on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC versions of the game.

EA Sports says that Sapien will offer "a leap forward in NFL realism." They say that it accomplishes this realism by "rebuilding the character skeleton to provide more body definition and variation to physiques on the field." EA Sports claims that Sapien will make the on-field players "more human and anatomically correct." This should help improve "authentic athletic motion and with FieldSense, creates true-to-life movement patterns on the gridiron."

Madden NFL 24 is said to included "dozens of improvements to foundational football." Modes like SuperStar Mode and the mini-games are coming back or being added to the PS5, Series X|S, and PC versions.

Also, since next-gen and PC will now include feature parity, there will be full cross-play support across PS5, Series X|S, and PC. This allows players to go head-to-head against each other and also in "certain online multiplayer modes."

Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, will be the cover athlete for Madden NFL 24.

Madden NFL 24 is out on August 18 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the EA app, Steam, and Epic Games Store. As the PC version is now a "next-gen" version, the base game retails for $70 on PC. There will be a Deluxe Edition for $90 ($100 after August 18th) that grants three day early access and 4600 Madden Points. There are also some pre-order bonuses for both versions of the game.
